The Canadian Gaming Summit this summer is starting to take shape, with the agenda marked by the debut of a Cybersecurity Symposium.
SBC runs the event now in tandem with the Canadian Gaming Association and is in its third year with the management tandem. The Summit is scheduled for June 17-19 at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
“The Canadian Gaming Summit continues to evolve as the premier gathering for industry leaders across the country,” said Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and Founder of SBC. “With dynamics shifting and new opportunities emerging, this year’s event will provide a vital platform for meaningful discussions that shape the future of gaming in Canada. From the latest innovations to critical policy debates, we’re bringing together the brightest minds to drive the industry forward.”
Canada is a fast-moving market, with regulatory shifts, market expansion, and emerging technologies driving a wide and rich agenda of panel discussions featuring industry leaders, regulators, and innovators.
The 28th Summit will include 3,000 industry professionals, 200 affiliates, 150 expert speakers, and 75 exhibitors.
The Cybersecurity Symposium will dive into growing digital threats facing the gaming industry in Canada as it grows and evolves. Cybersecurity experts, operators, and regulators will come together to discuss emerging threats and provide solutions to safeguard the gaming ecosystem.
The Summit has also proved to be a central networking event for the industry and a headline-setter. Last year, for example, a presentation by Hon. Dale Nally, Minister of Service and Red Tape Reduction, Province of Alberta, confirmed what many people in the industry had been discussing, that Alberta was well down the road toward an Ontario-style, competitive, commercial, igaming market.
The Crown Corporation Lounge will return to the show floor after its debut last year, where it hosted some of Canada’s leading crown corporations in the gaming and betting sector.
The Player Protection Symposium, previously a pre-conference event, will now be fully integrated into the core agenda.
