Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge is set to become the main competitor to the iPhone 17 Air and is rumored to have a significant cost advantage.
Samsung hasn’t released its ultra-thin smartphone along with its latest lineup, but it has shown the first photos — so the rest of the information comes mostly from images and rumors. The latest claim (via 9to5google) that the Galaxy S25 Edge will weigh about 162 g and cost $1000.

The cost is somewhat less than the one attributed to the iPhone 17 Air (about $1300), but less than Galaxy S25+ by only $200, so the question arises: is this a good deal? Given the 6 mm thick body, the manufacturer will make certain internal concessions — in particular, in terms of battery, which is credited with a capacity of 3900 mAh.

Previous leaks have also claimed that the Galaxy S25 Edge will feature a 200-megapixel HP9 sensor and be powered by a 7-core version of the Snapdragon 8 Elite.
The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to debut in April 2025.
